Lisa Freeman

Lisa graduated from her clinical psychology Masters’ degree in 1997, and since then has worked in a wide range of fields. These include community mental health, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, federal government, FACS, the University of Wollongong, not-for-profit organisations, and has been in private practice for over 12 years down the South Coast.

Lisa has trained under world leading psychologists, including Dr Russ Harris (a leader in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and Dr Michael Yapko (a world leader in utilizing clinical hypnosis in psychological therapy).

Lisa’s focus is very much on bringing a high level of professional experience to the local community, in a way that is safe, respectful and affordable. Every individual will be treated in a unique way that is dependent on their needs and situation.

Clinton McCulloch

Psychologist

Clinton McCulloch is a clinical psychologist with approximately 10 years experience in private practice, supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, complex trauma, and personal growth. His approach is client-centered, compassionate, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual, drawing on both evidence-based and holistic therapeutic modalities.

Clinton has completed a three-year training in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Therapy, an innovative, mindfulness-based psychotherapy. Hakomi integrates modern advances in neuroscience with the wisdom of Eastern traditions, to facilitate deep self-awareness and emotional healing.

Through utilising a variety of therapeutic modalities, Clinton offers an integrative therapeutic approach—including the use of mindfulness-based interventions, somatic psychotherapy, and solutions-focused therapy. He supports individuals from all backgrounds in enhancing resilience, managing stress, and improving emotional well-being. His holistic approach helps clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and mental clarity, empowering them to thrive in their professional and personal lives.

Kathrene Backer

Massage Therapist, Naturopath

Kathrene graduated with a Certificate in massage therapy (USA) in 1993, a Cert lV in massage therapy in 2001 and a Diploma in remedial massage in 2011 after completing her Advanced Diploma in Naturopathic Medicine from Sydney’s Nature Care College and a Bachelor’s degree in health sciences at the University of New England in 2004. Since then she has founded and taught the remedial massage therapy Diploma and prenatal massage therapy programs (2004 – 2014) at the NSW School of Massage therapy. In 2019 she had undertaken and completed a certificate in aged care support to better understand and tailor her work to suit the needs of our local ageing community. She has been an accredited member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society since 2003.

Kathrene’s approach is one of health promotion and preventative health care working with individual needs to promote long-term health and vitality through optimised digestive processes and sound nutritional intakes. She has a rehabilitative focus for individuals recovering from injury, illness and/or trauma to restore optimal health. Treatments and modalities are adapted to suit the individual’s needs through extensive knowledge in various techniques and a solid foundation of professional and clinical experience. As an accredited member of the ATMS, private health fund rebates for massage services are available and many services may be available under NDIS funding packages.
